Well by now I hope you'll all have started getting your Futurama boxsets out to watch the Christmas specials and get you in the mood for Friday!
2009's been a big year for Futurama what with the final movie released and of course the all important pick from Comedy Central.

So, a lot to look forward to in 2010 so make sure you check back here and on our twitter feed in the run up to June!

I never imagined having to post a story like this on CGEF but earlier on today actress - and voice of Fry's girlfriend Colleen in The Beast With A Billion Backs - Brittany Murphy tragically passed away at her home in the Hollywood Hills.

She was just 32.

Of course as well as being part of the Futurama family she was more well known for roles in Sin City, Don't Say A Word & 8 Mile.
She also played one of my favourite characters from the fantastic King of the Hill - Luanne.

Our sympathies go out to her family.

Firstly, some of you may remember me from back in the day on this site. Well I went away for a a long while but now I'm back and will be contributing news on the site and various other cool stuff on twitter(what? you're not following yet?!)

Secondly, and more importantly, Futurama has been nominated for it's 16th Annie Award for 'Into The Wild Green Yonder'(having won the last 2 years).

The winners will be announced Saturday, February 6, 2010 at UCLA's Royce Hall in Los Angeles, California. Congrats to everyone involved from CGEF!
